Top FAQs
For beginners, we recommend a racket in the 130g–150g range with a slightly head-heavy balance — this helps generate power without needing advanced technique. Brands like Dunlop, Tecnifibre, and Harrow offer excellent beginner-friendly models available at Titus Sports, Jaipur. Our staff can help you pick the right one based on your grip size and playing style.
Squash balls are rated by their bounce level. A double yellow dot ball has the lowest bounce and is used by advanced and professional players — it requires significant pace to warm up. A single yellow dot bounces slightly more, suitable for intermediate players. A red dot ball is for beginners and juniors, and a blue dot has the highest bounce, ideal for children and first-time players.
A general rule is to restring as many times per year as you play per week. If you play squash 3 times a week, restring 3 times a year. Strings lose tension over time even without breaking — a dead string bed reduces your shot quality and can affect your arm. At Titus Sports, we restring squash rackets on digital machines while you wait.
Most club-level squash players string between 26–30 lbs. Lower tension gives more power; higher tension gives more control. Beginners benefit from lower tension (24–26 lbs) while advanced players often prefer 28–32 lbs. Our trained stringers at Titus Sports can advise you on the right tension for your game.
Squash-specific shoes from Asics, New Balance, and Nike are designed with non-marking rubber soles and reinforced lateral support — critical for the fast side-to-side movement squash demands. Never play squash in running shoes — they lack the lateral stability needed and can cause ankle injuries. Titus Sports stocks court shoes across sizes and budgets.
GripTec is an advanced handgrip paste and spray that improves friction between your hand and racket handle — preventing grip slip during intense rallies and sweaty conditions. Unlike overgrips that absorb sweat and become slippery, GripTec works with your skin to maintain consistent grip throughout the match. It is available exclusively at Titus Sports in Jaipur.
Yes. Titus Sports offers professional squash racket restringing in Jaipur using 8 fully digital stringing machines operated by trained stringers. You can choose your preferred string brand and tension. Most restrings are completed while you wait. We are open 364 days a year from 8:30 AM to 10:00 PM at Tonk Road, opposite SMS Stadium.
Grip size affects control and comfort. Hold the racket in your playing hand — there should be a small gap (about the width of your index finger) between your fingertips and your palm. If your fingers overlap your palm, the grip is too small. If the gap is too large, it is too big. Our store staff can help you find the right size and also replace worn grips on the spot.
