Top FAQs

The standard rule is: restring as many times per year as you play per week. Play 3 times a week — restring 3 times a year. Strings lose tension over time even if they don't snap. Dead strings reduce performance and can cause arm strain from overcompensating.

Most rackets are restrung within 20–40 minutes at our store. We operate 8 digital stringing machines with trained stringers on duty, so turnaround is fast — in most cases, done while you wait. Walk in anytime between 8:30 AM and 10:00 PM, 364 days a year.

Beginners should string between 18–22 lbs for more power and forgiveness. Intermediate players typically use 22–26 lbs for a balance of power and control. Advanced players often string at 26–30 lbs for maximum control and shuttle feel. Our stringers will advise you based on your playing style.

For tennis, most recreational players string between 22–26 lbs. Lower tension gives more power; higher tension gives more control. Polyester strings are typically strung 2–3 lbs lower than the manufacturer recommendation to compensate for their stiffness. Our team can guide you to the right setup.

Sync is a firm control string for aggressive players. Vivo is a softer, arm-friendly multifilament ideal for comfort-focused players. Zero is a versatile synthetic gut for all-round recreational use. All three are available at Titus Sports starting from ₹700 per restring.

Yes. We restring badminton rackets with strings from Yonex (BG65, BG80, Aerobite), Ashaway, and our own ReString range. Our digital machines apply consistent tension across every string — ensuring your racket performs exactly as expected after every restring.

You can bring your own string or choose from our in-store selection. We stock strings from Yonex, Tecnifibre, Ashaway, and our own ReString label across different gauges and playing styles. Our stringers will help you pick the right one if you're unsure.

Yes — significantly. Digital stringing machines apply precise, consistent tension to every individual string. Manual or drop-weight machines can lose tension mid-string, leading to uneven string beds that affect feel and performance. At Titus Sports, all restrings are done on fully digital machines for guaranteed accuracy.

Restringing costs depend on the string you choose and your racket type. Our ReString strings start from ₹700 including labour. Premium brand strings (Yonex, Tecnifibre) are priced higher based on the specific string selected. Contact us on WhatsApp or visit our store for current pricing.

Yes. When one string breaks, it creates uneven tension across the frame — which can warp or crack the racket if left unstrung for too long, especially in extreme heat. Always cut all strings or get the racket restrung as soon as possible after a break.

Yes. We restring squash rackets with strings from Ashaway, Tecnifibre, Dunlop, and our ReString range. Squash strings are typically thinner and strung at higher tensions than tennis — our trained stringers have specific experience with squash restringing requirements.

Restringing requires your physical racket, so it must be done in-store. However, you can purchase strings online at www.titussports.co.in and have them shipped to you for self-stringing or local restringing. For professional restringing, visit us at SB-52, Tonk Road, Jaipur — we're open 364 days a year.
